Fire Dream (fire dream)

Founded in 1996 by Sylvao but silent for 16 years before its first artpack. The December 2012 fdr-01 announced both the brand and its founding date "fOUNDED iN 1996!" and committed to a two-person operation: Sylvao (founder) and Cleaner (member, ex-Spleen). Both Frenchmen. The NFO was simultaneously a founding manifesto and a farewell: "This is the first artpack from Fire Dream, featuring art from Sylvao and Cleaner. Nothing more, nothing less." The work was sober and design-forward. Fire Dream is one of the rare French/European ANSi groups still releasing in the 2010s, and the 1996 founding-date claim places it in the longevity narrative alongside CRO, Mimic, and SAC.
